Ankara: a new destination from BSCA

From 28 June, Pegasus Airlines will run a direct route between Brussels South Charleroi Airport and the Turkish capital, Ankara. With one weekly flight, every Wednesday, this is the first link that connects Charleroi to Ankara. Operating at Charleroi since 2014, the company already serves Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport, through which over fifty destinations are accessible to BSCA's passengers.

After Istanbul, Pegasus Airlines now hopes to connect Ankara to Belgium. With its continental climate and cultural wealth, Ankara has plenty to delight tourists looking for discoveries, but will also enable the Turkish community in Belgium and neighbouring countries to reach the destination at competitive prices.

The Ankara - Charleroi - Ankara route will be operational from Wednesday 28 June to Wednesday 13 September 2017 with the following timetable:

Ankara - Departure at 2.00 pm local time / Charleroi - Arrival at 6.04 pm local time

Charleroi - Departure at 6.45 pm local time / Ankara - Arrival at 10.20 pm local time

The CCO of Pegasus Airlines, Güliz ÖZTÜRK says "We are proud to have transported over 335,000 passengers since the launch of our operations at Brussels South Charleroi Airport three years ago. We very much appreciate the strong and successful partnership between Pegasus Airlines and BSCA, and we continue to build on this with the launch of this new direct route between Charleroi and Ankara."

"Our daily connection between Charleroi and Istanbul is very popular and appreciated by passengers from Belgium and northern France, who can reach 52 destinations thanks to our competitive rates. We are proud to be part of the airport's success, particularly with the opening of its new terminal 2 which offers a new hub with new passenger amenities and which confirms the airport's rapid growth", he adds.

Brussels South Charleroi Airport is delighted with this news and Jean-Jacques CLOQUET, the airport's CEO confirms, "Ankara is one of the destinations often requested by our passengers. With this new route operated by Pegasus Airlines, it is a large capital city that adds to our range of destinations. We thank Pegasus Airlines for its trust and we will continue to work together to ensure the success of our joint projects."
