Discover Wallonia with the family

There's nothing better than a family escapade to recharge your batteries or discover a region. There are treasures for every member of the family to discover. The older mambers of the family tell the younger members stories and vice versa, with the youngsters telling their elders about how things are today. Wallonia, with its 200 tourist attractions, is a destination that is particularly full of possibilities for excursions, walks, celebrations and other discoveries for the whole family.

Clear your mind

You're sure to have a day full of emotions with your youngsters in one of our recreational parks. In Wavre you'll find well-known park Walibi, with its exciting attractions. A day at Aventure Parc Wavre, Dinant Evasion or Durbuy Aventure is sure to delight the sporty members of the family. For those who prefer aquatic activities, there's Spin Cablepark in Boussu-lez-Walcourt, Coo Adventure or kayaking down the Lesse. For the little ones, there's nothing like a visit to a animal park for a day full of charm and nature discoveries.

Get a breath of fresh air

There are numerous and varied possibilities for enjoying nature and its charms in Wallonia. In autumn the woods of the Spa region offer a range of colours that it is hard to get enough of. On sunny days, Gaume in the province of Luxembourg offers green spaces and peace and quiet. Still on sunny days, but for the sporty among you, the Eau d’Heure lakes in the Hainaut and its pedestrian trails. In winter, the Fagnes nature reserve and the ski slopes in the East of the country await you. Dream family destinations!

Discover our traditions and our history

Our regions are rich in history and traditions. Wallonia is one of the homes of the comic book, the 9th art, with a museum dedicated to Tintin Snowy's father in Louvain-la-Neuve and lots of authors coming from the Verviers region. Our traditions are experienced through carnival festivities, whether it's the Gilles of Binche or the Blancs Moussis in Stavelot. The richness of our culture is visible in our museums. They are numerous and their treasures cover a multitude of themes: medecine in Mariemont, masks in Binche, photography in Charleroi, remembrance tourism in Waterloo or Bastogne and even our gastronomy. Wallonia has a very rich history and culture and loves to share it.

Accommodation

Discovering a region as a family, it's great fun and there's nothing like it. All that remains is to find accommodation which suits everybody: a hotel, a hostel, a gîte or a holiday centre, or why not a campsite?
