UCL: 14 masters in the worldwide top 10

Eduniversal recently published its ranking of the world's best masters. 14 of the UCL's masters and courses are ranked among the best. Eduniversal evaluates almost 17,000 programmes at 1,000 universities in 154 countries. 4,250,000 students consult this ranking when choosing their masters course.

"This recognition highlights the quality of the graduate programmes offered by the Université catholique de Louvain internationally", stated the University in a press release,

The press release went on, "These results are evidence of the quality of the work accomplished within UCL." Eduniversal evaluates and ranks programmes according to three criteria: the reputation of the programme and the institution; subsequent employment opportunities and the students' satisfaction.

For several years, some UCL master’s programmes have consistently ranked among the world’s best in their respective categories, including the masters in actuarial sciences, ranked first for three consecutive years and the masters in entrepreneurship, 4th this year.

Eduniversal ranked the following UCL master’s degree programmes in the top 25:

  • Masters in actuarial sciences of the UCL Institute of Statistics - ranked 1st in the insurance and risk management category
  • Masters in information and communications - public relations and organisational communications - ranked 4th in the communications category
  • Interdisciplinary training in entrepreneurship - ranked 4th in the entrepreneurship – interfaculty category
  • Masters in management sciences - ranked 7th in the general management category
  • Masters in human resources management - ranked 7th in the human resources management category
  • Masters in international business - ranked 8th in the international management category
  • Masters in public administration - ranked 9th in the public administration/management category
  • Advanced masters degree in tax law - ranked 10th in the taxation category
  • Masters in cybersecurity - ranked 11th in the business intelligence, knowledge and security management category (programmed debuted in 2016-17)
  • Masters in economics - ranked 17th in the economics category
  • Masters in environmental science and management - ranked 20th in the sustainable development and environmental management category
  • International executive MBA - ranked 21st in the executive MBA and part-time MBA category
  • Masters in law - ranked 22nd in the business and commercial law category
