3D printing to help healthcare personnel

IDart, which is based in Braine-l'Alleud and works in 3D printing, has started to use its 3D printers to help healthcare personnel, by producing and distributing face protection masks with visors.

Julie Hautier - IDart, "Once we had obtained the correct information about the standards to be followed and tested the prototypes that currently existed or had been modified, we started the production and distribution of face masks with visors."

Some fifteen new machines have been added to the current machines, all dedicated to the production of masks, so that we can produce as many as possible as quickly as possible. Due to lockdown, this production is being carried out by two volunteer workers.

The masks are currently being distributed to healthcare personnel free of charge, but the company is asking for help to continue the initiative. To this end, it has just launched a crowdfunding initiative on the Leetchi platform. All donations are welcome to support the production of additional protective masks.
