Sortlist acquires its German competitor

Sortlist, the Belgian platform for connecting companies and communication agencies, has recently acquired its German competitor "Agenturmatching", thereby becoming the largest B2B platform for connecting companies in Europe.

There's no stopping the Wavre-based start-up ! Following the acquisition of the Spanish company 'The Briefers' three years ago, Sortlist has now turned its sights on its German competitor.  With this already highly profitable Munich-based company, the combined database has a total of more than 1,000 member agencies and more than 80,000 listed service providers worldwide. This represents projects connected to agencies every month worth a total of €34 million in transactions!  No wonder Sortlist was voted the "fastest growing company" by Deloitte just a few months ago in the 'software' category.

"We are absolutely delighted to have completed this acquisition during and in spite of the Coronavirus crisis," confirmed Nicolas Finet, co-founder of Sortlist. "In just a few years, Agenturmatching has achieved an impressive track record and has a solid platform as well as a fantastic team. Joining forces is therefore an important step for us towards our international development and intensifying our services. In this context, we are keeping our eyes wide open to a range of new countries. In addition to our ambition for Germany to become our largest market and to increase our revenue fivefold over the next 18 months, we are aiming to be the unquestioned number one in Europe."

The business model for this type of platform owes its success to a matching algorithm that proposes different agencies to requesting companies for free, and offers them the possibility to contact each other immediately. For Thibaut Vanderhofstadt, co-founder of the start-up, a company that wants to retain its competitive edge needs to invest in its digital transformation, and what better way than to get help from a specialised agency for a perfect result? Various companies quickly saw the benefit, including H&M, Unilever, the BBC and Walt Disney, all big names who are avid users of the platform.

In short, as you can see, Sortlist, with its 80 employees and offices in Brussels, Paris, Madrid, Rotterdam and now Munich, has a very bright future ahead of it !
