Approved for adoption by Jung Hénin and Laurent Boileau wins the Grand Prize of the animation film division of the 17th JAPAN MEDIA ARTS FESTIVAL.
587 films were in competition (feature films and short films). After "The Old Man and the Sea", "Approved for adoption " is the second foreign film to get this great distinction awarded by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs.
