Known and recognised for the famous duo he forms with his brother Bruno, Vincent Taloche is a staple of the Belgian scene. He began his career as his brother’s sound and lighting technician. But, attracted by the limelight, he took to the stage himself, creating a show with a childhood friend.
It was not until 1992 that Vincent and Bruno joined forces. The Taloche Brothers performed in a series of shows, productions, and television programmes, and their popularity grew. It’s a success story that continues to this day.
Vincent often says that without Bourvil, there might never have been any Taloche Brothers. It was while watching television that little Vincent noticed that the boulevard play La bonne planque (The good hideout) - and Bourvil - made his whole family laugh, both young and old. This was the start of a vocation!
In fact, his admiration led him to create Bourvil, en toute simplicité et en chansons (Bourvil, in all simplicity and song). This is a tribute show to his lifelong idol, which he has been performing for several years.
But Vincent is much more than a laughter craftsman: he also works to promote recognition of the world of comedy. In the midst of the Covid crisis, he realised that artists in the sector were not eligible for cultural bursaries. For him, this was the turning point. The realisation led to the creation of the Fédération Belge des Professionnels de l’Humour (Belgian Federation of Comedy Professionals - FBPH). Bringing together comedians - both those who are well-known and newcomers - producers and theatres, the FBPH fills a void and unites the community. It’s quite a programme Vincent Taloche is putting on with his vigour and talent!
