Originally from the Pays de Herve, Renaud, Yann, Patrick, David and Bernard decided to make music together. And it’s the fact that they work ‘together’ that matters most to these lifelong friends.
Coldplay, U2, Imagine Dragons... their inspiration is multiple and varied. The five musicians in the band Ykons play indie pop, or ‘pop with lots of energy’ as they describe it themselves.

Since their first appearances at festivals (they have played at Francofolies de Spa, Nandrin Festival, Fiestacity, Belzik, etc.), they have always drawn a crowd.

And with good reason: the members of Ykons set the stage on fire. For them, meeting and sharing with the audience is at the heart of everything they do. So it’s in concert that all their generosity and sincerity comes to the fore. The emotion is all the more palpable as many of their lyrics are autobiographical.

After the release of the single ‘Redlight’ and a tour, their second single ‘Like A Feather’ was voted ‘song of the year 2018’ by Maximum FM. Their first album ‘Reflected’ was released in 2019. Unfortunately, the Covid period held back their fiery momentum, but did not extinguish it. Since then, the band has come back stronger than ever.

Today, one thing is certain: Ykons has become a staple of the Belgian scene.
