Mons has been honoured during Belgian week, part of Marseilles-Provence 2013, European Capital of Culture! A good opportunity for Mons 2015 to make itself known in France and to meet its counterparts. This was also an opportunity for Mons-based businesses to export their new technologies through a trade mission orchestrated by AWEX and IDEA's InfoPME department.
From 9th to 17th November, Belgian week took place in Marseilles and Aix-en-Provence. Curious visitors were able to attend a rich cultural programme lasting a week. On the program: a comic strip exhibition, theatre shows, concerts and more. The Minister of Culture, Madam Fadila Laanan, honoured us with her presence by inaugurating the week of Belgo-Marseillaise festivities during a ceremony in the "Baili de Suffren" room at the Marseilles Town Hall on 10th November.
The week was also an opportunity for businesses in Digital Innovation Valley (Alpaga Studio, BHC-IT sprl, DragOnSlide Studio, Fishing Cactus, I Movix, Jelly Cube Studio, Meaweb, Okidoki Design, Reaklab, Tag Expert and Technocité) to make themselves known through a trade mission orchestrated by AWEX and IDEA's infoPME department.
