Behind every production line, every mining site, every critical infrastructure site running like clockwork, you will find an electrical panel, often coming from the Liège region. Over the past 20 years, Belgotech has established itself as a global benchmark in an industry where reliability is non-negotiable. Now, the company is gearing up to expand further.
Belgotech, a relatively low-profile company, has acquired its clients almost exclusively through word of mouth. Their core commitment is “reliability, right from the design stage”, as highlighted by Yves Warnant, director. “One electrical failure could quickly translate into a loss of millions of euros.”
“In 2023, the founders passed the baton to me. Taking over a company is like inheriting its DNA”. The seasoned entrepreneur, whose portfolio covers automation, renewable energy and industrial batteries, is supported by Laura Warnant. This 32-year-old civil engineer specialising in electrical engineering, who previously worked at Rolls-Royce, became Belgotech’s CEO with ambitious goals: “The quality of the product deserves an organisation to match. It was time to boost our profile!” The company now has a new ERP, new organisational chart, twice as many senior engineers along with junior staff, and is also developing an engineering and 3D design team.
In less than three years, the entire company structure has been transformed and teams expanded. “We have achieved our goal of 50 employees, whilst retaining our existing loyal staff. Henceforth, we are aiming to double our turnover in seven years, while maintaining our quality and rising to new challenges related to the development of new machines.” All this, whilst leveraging energy transition as a growth opportunity.
