The Comicdom Con Athens 2018, an international comics festival that is taking place in Greece from 20 to 22 April, is hosting two authors from Wallonie-Bruxelles.
Nicolas Wouters (story) and Dimitri Mastoros (illustrator) are presenting Exarcheia, a comic strip that was published on 25 August 2016.
Exarcheia
Exarcheia is a historic neighbourhood in Greece where practically everyone is a militant. Nikos, at the age of 26, is a student who is little concerned by the political situation in his country. He returns to his childhood neighbourhood to enjoy the sun and the festivals. He visits his uncle and aunt who run an anarchist bistro that has seen better days and is failing miserably. On top of this, his uncle Christos is ill and his aunt Natalia is tired and unable to regain control of their building which is squatted by immigrants. Nikos decides to postpone his holiday and help them out until things calm down.
