Dynali: helicopters made in Wallonia

Around twenty people are working for Dynali, a company established in  the industrial park of Nivelles. This dynamic and yet low-profile SME is the only Belgian company that manufactures two-seater helicopters in an integral way.

It’s been 34 years since Dynali dedicated itself with passion to the manufacturing of ultralight helicopters. Its H3 EasyFlyer Sport (H3S) helicopters, the only model produced by Dynaly, are flying throughout most of the world.

Some of the Dynali H3S helicopter’s features include a stainless chassis, a forwardly tiltable cabin made out of carbon (a resistant and very light material), dual controls and its Rotax engine (which combines performance with reliability).

“Featherweight” and affordable price

The workshop facilities are located in Thines (Walloon Brabant) and the 1200 sqm plant is large enough to produce 6 to 7 helicopters per month. Part of the team is dedicated to the production and assembly of  the helicopters while another staff  is continuously working on the research and development process, in order to make them  more efficient. Before any delivery, a test is carried out in order to analyse all the helicopter’s parameters.

By doing so, the firm succeeded in making the H3 EasyFlyer model one of the best ultralight helicopters of the leisure aviation market. With its “featherweight”, it can be yours for 120,000 euros.

Export performance

Last year, the Nivelles-based company, added several major milestones to its success story: its two-seaters were exported to France, China and South Korea. For the first time, Dynali also registered an order from New Zealand.

Furthermore, Dynali has exported helicopters to the United States. This “American version” of the H3 EasyFlyer called N361EX, generated considerable interest and is now considered by the American market as “the” two-seater with the best price/performance ratio. It is marketed by a Dynali authorised distributor known as Hangar 36 located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dynali is shortly planning to extend its production facilities by the addition of a building which will double the factory floor space. This will allow the company to respect its delivery deadlines which are “remarkably short (no more than 120 working days) while the production continues to rise.”
